BolYaar is designed so you never have to share who you are to have a great conversation. A few habits keep it that way.
Protect your privacy
- Use a nickname and an avatar; you don't need your real name or photo as a fan.
- Never share your phone number, address, workplace, social media or passwords, even with someone you like talking to.
- Nobody from BolYaar will ever ask for your OTP. Don't share it with anyone.
Spot scams early
- Anyone asking you to pay outside the app, send a UPI transfer, or "verify" your account is running a scam.
- Be wary of sad stories that end in a request for money, or offers to meet in person.
- Only buy coins inside the app. Offers of cheap coins elsewhere are fake.
Use the safety tools
- End & report: every call has a report button. Hang up the moment you feel uncomfortable.
- Block: blocked people can't call or message you and disappear from your feed. Manage them in Profile → Privacy & Security → Blocked Users.
- Report in chat: reports go straight to our moderation team, who review every one.
For creators
- Keep your background neutral on video calls; nothing that shows where you live.
- You never have to continue a call that makes you uncomfortable: end it, report and block.
- Only withdraw earnings to UPI IDs or bank accounts in your own name.
